Suggested Use

Recommended use

Traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to help relieve symptoms associated with colds and flu including coughs, irritation of the throat, sore throat, and chest complaints such as catarrhs.

Directions

Adults: To prepare a cup of tea, infuse 1 tea bag in 150-250 mL of boiling water. Allow the herbs to steep for at least 10 minutes. Drink 1 cup of tea 3-4 times daily as needed.

Caution

Do not use if you:

1. are pregnant or breastfeeding.
2. are allergic to plant of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Apiaceae/carrot family.
3. taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives, or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance.
4. have hypokalemia, high blood pressure or a kidney/cardiovascular/liver disorder.
5. have gastrointestinal ulcers.

Consult a health care practitioner if you:

1. are taking immunosuppressants.
2. have un autoimmune disorder.
3. have a progressive systemic disease such as tuberculosis, leucosis, collagenosis, multiple sclerosis, AIDS and/or HIV infection.

Discontiue use ifsymptoms persist or worsen.

Known Adverse Reactions

For use beyond 2 weeks hypersensitivity/allergy is known to occur, in which case , discontinue use.
